How it works

From energy asset to actionable proof.

WATTii turns your asset data into traceable proofs prepared for verification, for your decisions, reports and commitments.

Reliable & traceable
Traced, timestamped and sealed data, retained with a versioned audit trail so each evidence package stays attributable and reviewable.
Prepared for verification
Data documented under applicable standards (ISO 14064 components, GHG Protocol), mapped/aligned, subject to validation.
Actionable & useful
Evidence prepared for review — structured for decisions, reporting and stakeholder communication without over-claiming results.

A common 7-step process

A robust, transparent framework designed for reproducibility to turn your data into documented evidence.

WATTii expert agents control data, recalculate indicators, detect anomalies and prepare verification. Sensitive steps remain subject to logged human validation.

Define the scope
1

Define the scope

Delimitation of assets, boundaries and calculation rules.

Connect the sources
2

Connect the sources

IoT sensors, meters, systems and platforms connected.

Qualify the data
3

Qualify the data

Automated controls, anomaly detection, completeness assessment and preparation for human review.

Calculate performance
4

Calculate performance

Methodologies mapped/aligned, subject to validation, with emission factors and normalization.

Create the proof passport
5

Create the proof passport

Sealed, timestamped proof; any later modification is detectable in the audit trail.

Calculate the WTS
6

Calculate the WTS

Calculate WTS units under the versioned BP13 methodology. Any issuance requires logged human approval and a uniqueness check. The log retains actor, date, version, scope and reason.

Monitor and report
7

Monitor and report

Dashboards, alerts and APIs to manage and communicate.

Sensitive steps remain subject to logged human validation.

Issuance is separate from calculation. The issuance log retains actor, date, version, scope, reason.

A two-axis proof model

Data nature and assurance level are assessed independently: a sensor can be miscalibrated, while calculated data can carry a high recorded assurance status. The Proof Score does not determine the assurance level.

Axis 1 — Data nature
1
Measuredfrom a meter or sensor
2
Calculatedderived from a documented formula
3

4

Axis 2 — Assurance level

2
Controlledautomatic rules and internal review
3
Auditedevidence and samples examined
4
Third-party verifiedindependent assurance, only when report, body, scope and date are recorded

Five separate methodology objects

Each object keeps its own unit, source, version and status. They are never merged into one field, badge or status.

Proof Score

The Proof Score is a 0-100 index describing evidence completeness and documentary quality. It is separate from WTS quantity and the assurance level, which it does not determine.

7 control criteria document evidence completeness and documentary quality. They do not determine the assurance level shown in Axis 2.

1

Provenance

Is the source identified and controlled?

Maintenance contracts
2

Integrity

Is the data complete and sealed?

Hash & timestamp
3

Metrology

Is the sensor appropriate and calibrated?

Calibration certificate
4

Temporality

Does the granularity fit the use case?

15-min data
5

Method

Is the calculation versioned and designed for reproducibility?

Version v2.3
6

Review record

Are review actor, date and evidence documented? This criterion does not set the assurance level.

Review report
7

Uniqueness

Is double counting prevented?

Cancellation registry

BP13 calculation framework

A WTS is a quantified energy-evidence unit calculated from eligible energy under the versioned BP13 methodology and recorded in the WATTii registry. It is distinct from the Proof Score, the assurance level, avoided tonnes of CO2 and economic value.

Formulas

  1. P_ref = P_trace + (c_ref × P_CO2) # c_ref = 0.75 tCO2e/MWh
  2. P_f,z = P_trace + (c_f,z × P_CO2)
  3. k = P_f,z / P_ref
  4. N_WTS = E_eligible × k
  5. V_est = E_eligible × P_f,z

Blocking rules

  • Use full decimal precision with no intermediate rounding. Round only for display.
  • The same currency is used for P_trace, P_CO2, P_ref, P_f,z and V_est.
  • WTS quantity (N_WTS) and k do not depend on the Proof Score or the assurance level.
  • Calculation and issuance are separate statuses. Issuance requires logged human approval and a uniqueness / double-counting check.

Reference fixture

Display values from the versioned BP13 reference fixture. Display rounding is for presentation only; the computation chain uses full decimal precision.

Indicators designed for reproducibility, based on a documented methodology

WATTii relies on published, transparent methodologies mapped/aligned, subject to validation.

Documented methodologies

Documented methodologies

Drawing on certain components of ISO 14064 and the GHG Protocol (mapped/aligned, subject to validation).

Complete traceability

Complete traceability

Every data point, calculation and rule is documented and auditable.

Designed for reproducibility

Designed for reproducibility

The same inputs and the same versioned rules are designed to produce the same documented result.

Audit mapping

Audit mapping

Evidence is mapped/aligned, subject to validation. Mapping to review requirements does not promise a regulatory result.
